4 Piggies Supporting Pennies for Peace

In honour of the SHARING and SCHOOLING piggy banks we are happy to be donating 10% of sales through the month of December to Pennies for Peace in an attempt to bring about more awareness of the organization in Canada.  Pennies for Peace raises funds to build schools and educate the children of Afghanistan and Pakistan.  I learned of this organization when I had the opportunity to meet with the founder of Pennies for Peace - Greg Mortenson.  Greg wrote his inspiring story of his work in these regions in his New York Times besteselling book Three Cups of Tea.  Being a children’s educator myself, I am a supporter of the idea that peace can be acheived through education of the children in these war torn regions.  Traditionally schools get involved in Pennies for Peace by starting a campaign and having children bring in pennies from home which are collected by their school and donated to the program.  We would like to see more schools in Canada get involved in the Pennies for Peace campaign and thank you in advance for any purchases on our website of either the award winning book “The 4 Little Pigs” or the 4 Piggies Financial Kit for children and thereby supporting the Pennies for Peace program.
