Sharing to Help the Frogs

Frog

My daughter Maya is an animal lover and decided that with money from her SHARING piggy bank, she would like to symbolically adopt a frog.   In the past she has used money from this piggy bank to visit the pet store and buy food and treats for the animals at our local humane society.  With a trip to the World Wildlife Website we found that for $40 she could symbolically adopt a leopard frog which has been designated as an endangered species.  Maya had been saving part of her allowance in her SHARING piggy bank and with that money along with some birthday money she had received, she had enough to adopt the frog.  I read to her from the WWF website about how her money would be used to help animals and the environment and she has been inspired to want to do more.  She is now saving the money in her SHARING piggy bank to adopt a polar bear.  A few days after purchasing her online frog adoption (with a little help from mom), Maya received a small stuffed leopard frog in honor of her donation.  She has been extremely motivated to want to do more to help the animals and is continuing to save up as much money as she can in her SHARING piggy bank.
